Self‐Consistent Impurity Modeling in a Limiter SOL

For a tokamak plasma with a limiter configuration the edge electron density and temperature and the Zeff are self-consistently calculated. A semi-analytical model is used which takes into account production of impurities by sputtering and self-sputtering and their screening in the scrape-off layer. The computed results show a satisfactory agreement with those measured in the Frascati Tokamak Upgrade.
