Yet another reading of three fundamental theorems on structural design theory Discussion on the paper: Optimal design of a class of symmetric plane frameworks of least weight

The aim of the present discussion is to look for a common basis to formulate problems of structural design with the real practise in mind in a constructive manner. The discussion isrst motivated by the Reply of Soko l and Lewinsky (the Authors) to a previous dis- cussion by us (the Writers), but also by the prevalence of some confusion in the literature about the main ob- jectives of the structural design and of the structural optimization.
