Development of Flux-Free Smelting and Flame-Proof Purifying Technology of Magnesium Alloys

The common gases and inclusions in magnesium alloy smelting are introduced.The advanced flux free smelting flame-proof gas purifying methods for magnesium alloy in China and abroad are summarized,in which the methods of NovecTM612 melt protection gas,rotating blowing gas purification method and ceramic foam filters are mainly introduced.The status of magnesium industry in China is analyzed,and the future research priorities of magnesium alloy are also pointed out.
