Technological Trade Barriers and China's Food Safety Monitoring

By establishing a normative framework based on transaction cost,this paper probes into the relationship between the intensification of food's safety monitoring and transaction cost change,and searches for the outlet to break through TBT. Firstly,the analysis is oriented on the macro-organization——country.Secondly, the transaction cost is analyzed at the level of enterprise.Next,the third type of transaction cost model is used to decompose the physical relations between transaction cost and "strategic investment".The main conclusion is that strengthening food's safety monitoring is the only road to reducing the export transaction cost of food and agricultural products and breaking through TBT as well as the efficient path to improving people's life quality and changing trade deficit of agricutural products.
