Innovative Demultiple Techniques in the Colombus Basin, off shore Trinidad

2007
In the Colombus Basin, off the east coast of Trinidad and Tobago, the presence of multiples and their attenuation has long been known to be a difficult issue. Conventional demultiple techniques in shallow water scenarios, such as Tau-P deconvolution, are not sufficient in themselves when used alone to fully address the multiple problem. In this case study we show ways that these multiples can be attenuated by innovative combinations and adaptations of existing multiple techniques.
