Comparison of life satisfaction in the blind, deaf, and normal schools students in Hamadan city

Introduction: Exceptional children have different characteristics and abilities in compare with norms children. Exceptional children are those that require special training to develop their ability. The aim of this research was to comparison of life satisfaction in the blind, deaf, and normal schools students in Hamadan city. Method: In this cross-sectional study, 87 blind and deaf school students with Census sampling and 174 normal school students in Hamadan city in 1391 year were selected simple randomly. Multidimensional Students Life Satisfaction Scale (MSLSS) for testing life satisfaction utilized. Data analyzed with T-student and ANOVA and the statistical software SPSS 18 were used. Results: outcomes showed Life satisfaction in three groups of blind, deaf and normally school students were a significant difference (P<0.05). Also, life satisfaction were different in blind and deaf school students (P<0.05). Conclusions: This study showed that deaf students had higher life satisfaction than blind and normal students. This difference was significant at the level of life satisfaction.
