An Exploratory Study to Assess the Knowledge and Attitude Regarding Contributing Factors of Substance Abuse and Its Prevention among Adolescents at Selected School of Moga, Punjab

Aim of the study to assess the knowledge and attitude regarding contributing factors of substance abuse and its prevention among adolescents at selected school of Moga, Punjab with view to develop and distribute information booklet. A nonexperimental (exploratory) research design was used to conduct study on 100 adolescents fulfilling the inclusion criteria by using systematic random sampling technique under probability sampling. The results showed that the 48% adolescents had below average knowledge and 5% adolescents had good knowledge. 75% adolescents had positive attitude and 25% adolescents had negative attitude. The mean knowledge score was 16.03 and mean attitude score was 66.49.
