Annealing-induced network evolution and optical property of chalcogenide thinfilm within germanium-sulfur binary system

Abstract Germanium (Ge)-sulfur (S) (GeS) binary system is a simple and green chalcogenide glass system. In this work, we prepared a Ge-rich non-stoichiometric GeS film and investigated its optical property and network structure. Findings show that improving or modifying the optical properties (optical transmittance, refractive index, etc.) of the GeS film with a one-step annealing process, and the structural evolution of GeS film network that is attribute to the annealing-induced property changing is identified.
