Method for Evaluation on Power Grid Operation Status for Intra-Day Tie-Line Scheduling

2019
A dispatcher needs to know the operation status of regional power grids and associated equipment related to tie-lines in a timely manner before intra-day tie-line schedule adjustment. For this purpose, we've designed an indicator system for evaluation on grid state, and also proposed the corresponding comprehensive evaluation method accordingly. First, we established a key indicator system for evaluating the operation status of the power grid from the 3 aspects of safety, economy and cleanliness. This system is moderate in scale, and the grid operation status related to the tie-line can be fully reflected through it. Secondly, we selected the Analytic Hierarchy Process to determine the weight of each indicator considering the need during scheduling decision by power grid operating crew. Meanwhile, we scored this solution by calculating the Euler distance between each indicator value of the solution-to-be-evaluated and the ideal positive & negative calculation result of this indicator using TOPSIS method. Furthermore, we have discussed about the practical application of the comprehensive evaluation method. From the analysis results of the example, it indicates that we can effectively evaluate the operation status of the grid related to the tie-line using the proposed method, thus providing guidance for the intra-day tie-line scheduling.
