Organisational restructuring in Australian hospitals - implications for pharmacy services

The author focuses on hospital pharmacy in the context of the re- engineering and restructuring underway in Australian hospitals. The direction of these changes and the implications for pharmacists are described. The author presents and discusses the results of a study of organisational restructuring in Australian hospitals which also involved a literature review, and a study of overseas trends in the health industry.
