Application of Composite Extraction of Radix peucedani,Herba ardisiae Japonicae and Flos sophorae Immaturus in Cigarette and Toxicological Assessment of the same

2009
The sensory evaluation and toxicological assessment of cigarette samples spiked with the composite extraction of Radix peucedani,Herba ardisiae Japonicae, and Flos sophorae Immaturus were conducted. The results showed that: 1) The cigarette containing 2‰ of the extraction was rich in aroma, balance in taste and comfortable in aftertaste;2) The acute toxicity, genetic toxicity of chromosome lesion and cell membrane lipid peroxidation lesion were obviously weaker than the control. No bacterial mutagenicity was found in Ames test.Although the cytotoxicity and chromosome aberrations in tested mammal were slightly lower than the control, the difference was of no statistic significance.
