Vinyl-crosslinker for high solid-containing, pressure sensitive adhesive silicone composition

1993
PURPOSE: To obtain a composition capable of producing a pressure sensitive adhesive having high tack and high adhesion by curing, by blending a resinous copolymer, an organo polysiloxane, an alkenyl silicone blend, and a hydrosilylation catalyst. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises (A) about 50-75 wt.%, based on the total weight of the components (A), (B) and (C), of a resinous copolymer, which comprises formula I-unit and II-unit, wherein the molar ratio of the formula I-unit to the formula II-unit is about 0.6-0.9, and contains hydroxy group in an amount of 0.5-5 wt.% based on the total weight of the copolymer, (B) a hydrogen-terminated organopolysiloxane of formula III, having a viscosity of 10-1,000 centipoise at 25°C, (c) an alkenyl silicone blend, (D) a catalytic amount of hydrosilylation catalyst, and (E) about 0-40 wt.%, based on the total weight of above-mentioned components, of an organic solvent. In the formula, R is a 1-6C hydrocarbon radical; R 1 is a 1-10C alkyl or the like; (x)+(y) is 1-50, (y) is 0-10; R 2 is a 1-10C alkenyl; R 3 is a 1-10C alkyl, and Z is 1-300. COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
