Monthly Generation Unit Maintenance Optimization Method Considering Power Supply Capacity and Peak Regulation Capacity

The traditional generation unit maintenance optimization method focuses on the influence on power supply capacity. However, with the rapid development of new energy such as wind power, peak regulation capacity should be also considered. For this reason, three useful evaluation indexes are proposed including power supply abundance(PSA), electricity supply abundance(ESA) and peak regulation abundance(PRA) based on the maximum, minimum and average new energy operation schemes. Then, a monthly generation unit maintenance optimization method is put forward by taking the generation unit maintenance requirements, PSA, ESA and PRA into consideration. Finally, a case study based on IEEE-30 buses system is used to prove the validity of the method proposed.
