The Use of Ultrasonic Techniques for Non-Invasive Instrumentation on Chemical and Process Plant

1982
This paper presents a non-mathematical review of ways in which ultrasound (that is, compression waves at frequencies too high to be detectable by the human ear) can be used to sense measurands such as level, flow and solution concentration. The reasons for using ultrasonic methods in preference to more traditional methods are listed. (Eds.)
