Synthesis, structure and luminescent properties of three organogold(I)-9-ethynyl-anthracence-diphosphine complexes

2017
Abstract Depolymerization of (C 14 H 9 C CAu) n (C 14 H 9 C CH = 9-ethynyl-anthracence) with diphosphine ligands Ph 2 P(CH 2 ) x PPh 2 ( x  = 4 dppb, 5 dpppen, 6 dpph) in CH 2 Cl 2 afforded the corresponding binuclear gold(I)-diphosphine-acetylides[(C 14 H 9 C CAu) 2 ( μ -dppb)]( 1 ), [(C 14 H 9 C CAu) 2 ( μ -dpppen)] ( 2 ) and [(C 14 H 9 C CAu) 2 ( μ -dpph)] ( 3 ). The crystal structures of complexes 1 ⋅tht (tht = tetrahydrothiophene) and 3 are determined and analyzed. All the complexes 1 – 3 display good photoluminescence both in the solid state and in dichloromethane solutions.
