Study on 10 kV Dynamic Var Compensator for Substation

This study adopted FC+TCR(FC+thyristor controlled reactor) capacitor-inductor dynamic reactive power compensating device in 10 kV dynamic reactive power compensation.The principle,the way to confirm the compensating capacity and the control and protecting system of static var compensator(SVC) and capacitor-inductor dynamic reactive power compensating device were introduced.At the trend of bigger impulse load in power supply system,making use of the thyristor's switching principle,this SVC can change the reactive power simultaneously to compensate or absorb the reactive power needed by the load,and can improve the impulse effect on the 10 kV bus voltage.
