Nd3+:YGdO3 ceramic laser

A highly transparent Nd 3+ :YGdO 3 ceramic solid-state laser material was developed using nanocrystalline technology and a nonpress vacuum sintering method. Spectroscopic properties of this ceramic laser material were investigated. Laser diode end-pumped continuous wave laser oscillation was demonstrated at 1078.1 nm in the 4 F 3/2 → 4 I 11/2 transition channel.
