Progress of Underwater Sound-absorbing Materials

The acoustic absorbing principle is introduced in this paper.Research and application development of the underwater sound absorbing materials and structures at home and abroad are summarized.The development of underwater sound absorbing materials aims at three directions:theoretical calculation guiding materials design,higher low frequency sound absorbing performance and wide frequency band,higher water-pressure and corrosion resistance.Porous metal materials,especially sandwich composite structure with high strength,heat resistance,corrosion resis-tance as well as nice sound absorbing performance will have extensive prospect.
