A process for removing mercury from the washing suspension of a wet flue gas cleaning, as well as the adsorbent for use in a wet flue gas cleaning

2014
The invention relates to a method for removing mercury from the washing suspension of a wet gas scrubbing, which is connected downstream of a combustion process, using at least one washing tank, in which circulates an aqueous scrubbing slurry and brought into contact with a combustion exhaust gas, the method comprising providing a under activated oxygen degree, carbon-enriched comprising granular adsorbent based on brown coal. The adsorbent is ground in an aqueous suspension to a particle diameter of 10-20 microns, then the suspension is added comprising the adsorbent in the sump of the washing vessel. The loaded with mercury adsorbent is hold with the aid of at least one hydrocyclone from the scrubbing suspension and regenerated or disposed of.
