High resolution observations of disordered Cu‐Pd alloys

The dark field electron microscopic images taken with a 220 fundamental spot and the 110 diffuse streaks show many bright dots of 1 to 2 nm in size. Furthermore, lattice‐like fringes can be recognized inside each bright dot. This indicates the existence of ordered regions in disordered matrix. Moreover, anti‐phase domain boundaries can be observed in the lattice‐like fringes.
