EnglishUnder the theme of this Congress, crisis and rupture peninsular, we will try, with our communication, to recover the historical context of the period in which the Philippine dual monarchy contributed to the tightness of the connections not only political, but also social, cultural and artistic. We intend, therefore, to specifically address the situation of literature at the end of the 16th century, specifically the relationship between the Portuguese editions of the Os Lusiadas, written by the poet Luis Vaz de Camoes, and the translations of this epic by the two most prestigious Spanish universities of the time, anchoring these facts at the social, political and cultural lived in the period when Philip II of Spain also became Philip I of Portugal. portuguesSendo a tematica deste III Congresso SEEPLU a crise e a rutura peninsular, procuraremos, com a nossa comunicacao, recuperar o contexto historico do periodo filipino em que a monarquia dual contribuiu para a estreiteza das ligacoes nao so politicas, mas tambem sociais, culturais e artisticas. Pretendemos, assim, abordar especificamente a conjuntura literaria de finais do sec. XVI, mais concretamente as relacoes entre as edicoes portuguesas da obra Os Lusiadas, do poeta Luis Vaz de Camoes, e as traducoes desta epopeia, lancadas pelas duas mais prestigiadas Universidades espanholas da epoca, ancorando estes factos no contexto social, politico e cultural vivido na epoca em que Filipe II de Espanha se tornou tambem Filipe I de Portugal.
