Web Based Substation Remote Monitoring and Maintenance

The deregulation of energy markets is bringing about major changes in distribution utilities, with new players involved in the network and increased quality and profitability requirements. To meet these new needs this paper proposes web based solutions which provide efficient and reliable access to network information which can be shared between all players (generators, distributors, energy service providers, maintenance service providers, subcontractors, etc.) with an increase in the quality of their services. The proposed system provides electrical network data targeted at network operators, maintenance technicians, network designers and financial managers.
