Summary, Reflection, and Prospect of Wind Power Development in China

Wind power has made the most rapid development as a new form of energy of China in the past decade. The installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaic power generation has continued to increase. China’s total installed capacity of new energy ranks first in the world and has made remarkable achievements. Behind these remarkable achievements, there are also a series of problems, such as high abandoned wind and light rate of new energy, prominent problems of peak shaving and frequency modulation, difficulties of new energy consumption, and prominent problems of safety and stability. Based on this background, this paper systematically summarizes the development process of new energy in China in the past decade, summarizes the development experience, systematically analyzes the existing problems, and finally forecasts the future development prospects.
