Dynamic Economic/Emission Dispatch Considering Renewable Energy and PEVs

2021
The utilization of renewable energy is a hot topic in schedule of power systems. In this paper, a third-order polynomial fitting curve method is proposed to promote the utilization of renewable energy in the existence of wind power and solar energy in dynamic economic/emission dispatch. Since the fitting power is not equal to the real power, plug-in electric vehicles are integrated in the study to eliminate the mismatch. Through this strategy, renewable energy can be firstly absorbed by PEVs, and then, if renewable energy is still remained, the surplus energy is sent to main grid. The above two steps guarantees renewable energy can be used maximumly. The load demand is separated into two parts, one is the load except PEVs, the other is the G2V load of PEVs. After applying the above strategy, a new 24-hr load demand is generated, and the new load data is regarded as dispatch basis in dynamic economic/emission dispatch. Simulation result demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method.
