Corrosion-inhibiting belt packing for metallic components

2014
Task: A belt package should be further developed so that corrosion-sensitive metallic parts can be transported in this packaging and stored for a limited time without any other corrosion protection measures. In this case, preferably cost-effective means such as a volatile corrosion inhibitor or inert gas may be used. Solution: The metallic components (2) are protected against corrosion by a sufficient amount of a chemical corrosion inhibitor by introducing this chemical corrosion inhibitor into the gas surrounding the components (2) or into a surface of a part of the packaging which at least partially surrounds the components (2) or an additionally inserted into the packaging foil-like insert (5) is introduced. The invention is to be used in the packaging of corrosion-sensitive metallic parts in closed belts.
