Parameter of intersection point equation between retention and normal boiling point for homologues in supercritical fluid chromatography

Abstract The new intersection point equation of retention for homologues in supercritical fluid chromatography was proposed as follows: ln k′ − ln k′ 0 = (a + b/T)(t b − t 0 b ). We can predict the capacity factor of all of the members for homologues at arbitrary temperature according to the equation. For two kinds of homologues on the three kinds of columns at 44 temperatures, we compare the prediction value of 159 data sets with experimental data; the overall average absolute deviation is 0.21.
