Grundwasserverunreinigungen durch Hydroxytriazine -Hochdruckflüssigchromatographische Bestimmung nach Festphasenextraktion

2000
4-Hydroxytriazines and 2-hydroxy-dealkyltriazines are determined in ground water by HPLC after solid-phase extraction using a polymeric sorbent. A reversed-phase column stable up to pH=9 is used for gradient separation with a buffer pH of 8,2. The determination limit for each component is 0,03 μg/l. 133 groundwater samples contaminated with atrazine and desethylatrazine were analyzed. In nearly every sample the concentration of hydroxyatrazine is only slightly smaller than the concentration of atrazine. A similar correlation between the amounts of hydroxydesethylatrazine and desethylatrazine was found in 45 samples. Triazines and their hydroxylated metabolites are very stable in ground water environments. The results of a great number of different Bavarian ground water samples show a considerable and permanent contamination by hydroxylated triazines.
