A Correlation OTDR Based In-Service Fiber Links Monitoring Using Flexible Frame Switching and EMD Denoising

A Correlation OTDR based in-service fiber links monitoring scheme with flexible switching between service signal frames, detection signal frames and idle frames is proposed, where the EMD denoising is applied to improve the dynamic range.
