Rechtfertigung bei Paulus : Eine Reflexion angesichts der aktuellen Diskussion

Prompted by the recent Lutheran - Roman Catholic Gemeinsame Erklarung zur Rechtfertigungslehre (Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification), the essay deals with Paul's theology of justification: Early Christian traditions as well as Pauline theology itself are based on O. T. and early Jewish traditions. There, the concepts of,righteousness' and,justification' in most cases have a soteriological meaning. In His righteousness, God overcomes Israel's sin, thus 'justifying' it, i.e., placing it anew in His covenant with its obligations.
