Energy management for a gird connected hybrid renewable energy system

2017
Finding the optimum design according to a creative energy management system that investigates the main parameters which would affect the system performance is investigated in this study. HOMER software was used to determine all possible scenarios over a grid connection system. The hybrid system includes diesel generators, PV arrays, power converter, and grid connection. A sensitivity analysis was applied to verify the optimum design among all changes of different sell back, power purchase, and load growth. All technical, economical, and environmental aspects are determined and examined to analyze the operational behavior over different changes. The results show the effects of various values of the power purchase and sell-back prices on the system performance. In addition, the generated CO 2 emissions by the system is quantified and illustrated. Finally, the results indicate the importance of finding suitable management system as well as a comprehensive techno-economic and environmental study prior establishing such projects.
