e-Health should be governed as other assets in healthcare organizations

Our work proposes an IT governance model for healthcare institutions based on the ISO/IEC 38500 standard. We adapt the standard taking into account our previous work about IT governance and other papers related with the challenges faced by hospitals and other healthcare organizations. The proposed IT governance model may be used to develop particular IT governance frameworks compatible with the standard.
