Vector analysing power in d-p and d-d elastic scattering at 52 MeV

Abstract The vector analysing power iT 11 for the elastic d-p and d-d scattering has been measured at an energy of 52 MeV with the Karlsruhe polarized deuteron source. The measurements were carried out in the c.m. angle ranges from 30° to 150° and from 30° to 90°, respectively. The d-p analysing power shows a maximum of iT 11 = 0.25±0.02 at 135° and a minimum of iT 11 = − 0.16±0.01 at 62° cm. In the d-d scattering a maximum iT 11 = 0.32±0.01 is observed.
