Reference signal transmission method and device

2012
Provided are a reference signal (RS) transmission method and device, capable of flexibly allocating RS-carried resources. The method comprises: a first station device selects from a first carrier a first frequency domain resource for bearing a first RS, the first carrier being used for data transmission and/or measurement between the first station device and a user equipment (UE), and the number of resource units contained in the first frequency domain resource being smaller than the system bandwidth of the first carrier; and transmitting the first RS to the UE via the first frequency domain resource. According to the reference signal transmission method and device in an embodiment of the present invention, a first station device determines from the first carrier an RS-carried resource, and transmits the RS to a UE via the determined resource, enabling the position of the RS- carried resource in the first carrier to be non-fixed, thus allowing flexible allocation of the RS-carried resource while reducing the RS-carried resource overhead.
