EnglishIn the third sonnet of the Rimas, Antonio de Paredes uses of the poetical motive of the ruins granting exemplary value to them. We try to analize how Paredes introduces the above mentioned motive joined other topics of moral content for composing a poem of elegiac modality and consolatory argument. And to emphasize that Paredes incorporates Cordoba into the Spanish paradigm of the «poetry of the ruins».
