A Structure–Behavior Coalescence Approach for Model Singularity

2019
Generally, a system is very intricate that it includes many views, such as data, structure, function, behavior, and so on. There are two different ways to model such many views. The multi-model approach separately chooses a distinct model for every view. On the contrary, the single model approach, instead of choosing many unassociated models, will use only one integrated model. In this paper, we proposed the channel-based infinite-queue structure–behavior coalescence (SBC) process algebra which is based on model singularity. The multiple models are unassociated and therefore inconsistent with each other, which become the primary reason for the model multiplicity problems of the multi-model approach. Being able to think about a system in one single integrated model, the structure–behavior coalescence (SBC) approach truly avoids the model multiplicity problems.
