Design and Analysis of Noise Extenuation Techniques in Modern LFC System

LFC is one of the leading topics during the need of balancing the generation and load consumption. In this view, different point of LFC is described in this paper. A two area interconnected model is developed with different type of area control characteristics namely as primary control loop and supplementary control loop. Developed LFC model is scrutinize for overall stability with the effects of primary and supplementary control loop. To analysis the effect on overall stability, the area control error signal is considered with measurement noise in the given system. Gaussian white noise is considered as measurement noise here. To extenuate the noise signal in ACE, two different low pass filters and fuzzy logic controller are introduced in this paper. The performance of various filters and fuzzy logic controller is validated on MATLAB/Simulink platform.
