Enantioselective Synthesis of Allylboronates and Allylic Alcohols by Copper-Catalyzed 1,6-Boration.

Highly enantioselective synthesis of δ-hydroxy-β,γ-unsaturated carbonyl compounds is achieved by copper-catalyzed 1,6-boration using bis(pinacolato)diboron in the presence of a Cu(I) Josiphos complex as catalyst.
