Application of RELAX Algorithm on Fault Diagnosis of Squirrel Cage Induction Motor with Rotor

This paper took the squirrel cage induction motor used in coal mine ventilation as the research object.When fault diagnosis based on the current analysis signal for squirrel cage induction motors,the faults' characteristic components are often submerged by current fundamental frequency component.This paper designed based on RELAX algorithm used in the method of removing the fundamental frequency component of the stator current,extracting the fault characteristic.The experimental results demonstrate that the algorithm can highlight the fault characteristic.The result shows that the research has practical values in engineering.
