A ortografia interfere com o julgamento de rima?: duas tarefas para a avaliação do processamento fonológico

This paper presents two rhyme judgment tasks, one with spoken or written words, and the other with pictures, where the orthography of the stimuli was manipulated. Results from thirty college students show a significant effect of Orthography: more errors were made for pairs of rhyming words which differ in spelling, and for pairs of non-rhyming words which are spelled the same. Thus, these tasks allow us to measure the influence of orthography in phonological processing, and are useful for the assessment of short-term phonological store.
