With the advent of industrial modernization, mechanical intelligence is the trend of the times. In the process of industrial revolution, the role of people in enterprises is gradually liberated from “mechanical labor” to “innovation creation” and the canning industry will also usher in the intelligent manufacturing of Industry 4.0. In this paper the design process and steps of the control system of filling production line are discusses in detail. Based on the analysis of the present situation of filling industry and the comparison with the advanced technology of other industries, a control system of filling production line based on PLC (programmable logic controller) is proposed, and design process and steps of the control system for canning production line are discussed in detail. Through the research on the control system of medicine canning production line, this paper mainly describes the application of PLC in the control system of canning production line. In our system, PLC is used as the controller to constitute the control part of the whole system, and configuration software is used as the monitoring and simulation system to simulate the work flow of medicine canning production line. In the design of this system, the hardware configuration and software design of the control system are completed, including bottling unit, labeling unit, canning unit and screwing cap unit The configuration software is used to realize the design of the real-time simulation monitoring system, and the programmable controller is used to design the automatic control of the process of color detection, the selection of different color medicine bottles, the automatic labeling and the automatic canning process.
