High precision phase and frequency measurements in rare Earth doped crystals at cryogenic temperatures for probing nanoresonators behavior

High precision spectroscopic measurement using spectral hole burning technique with ultra-stable laser on Eu 3+ : Y 2 SiO 5 can be used to measure very small deformations in the crystal such as the ones arising due to quantum motion of nanoresonators. We present an experiment aiming at such high precision characterization.
