The present invention provides a method for rapid detection of polyols in cosmetic, comprising the steps of: preparing a mixed standard solutions of different concentrations using the internal standard solution and standard; cosmetic preparation sample solution: sample dispersion liquid cosmetic preparation, ultrasonic extraction, filtered, the filtrate was placed in a sealed container, to obtain cosmetic sample solution, stand; the mixed standard solution and the sample solution cosmetics were analyzed by gas chromatography; standard curve derived alcohol component in a sample solution using the internal standard method and the concentration of the alcohol content. This method is not only simple, efficient, and reliable, but also can detect and quantify 8 kinds of polyols cosmetics.
