Health Monitoring and Immediate Assistance Smart Bot For Elderly People Using SLAM

In our societies, there is a steady increase in the elderly population, which arise the need of taking care of these people. Due to the workload of jobs etc. on the young generation, they are not able to devote their attention and care towards their elders. The idea of the smart bot is to provide a permanent assistant to older people. Use of a surveillance camera may be an effective solution but on the other hand it can not always be monitored and it may even be a disturbance in their privacy. The smart bot uses a wristband which is to be worn by older people which consist of a heart rate sensor and an inbuilt gyroscope and accelerometer sensor and a Wifi module, which can provide continuous feedback to the smart bot which may further lead it to perform the desired action. The smart bot uses a camera and a Wifi module which is used to map the entire room using SLAM and determine the exact position of the person. A camera is used to provide live video feedback to their family members once the smart bot reaches the person. The intelligent bot at home will give quick and continuous assistance to the person, so there is no delay and the desired action can be taken by the concerned people.
