Analysis of Near-Field Scattering Characteristics Based on High-Frequency Method

2020
A near-field expanded phase approximation based on high-frequency method is proposed to simulate the electromagnetic (EM) scattering of an electrically large size target of interest in the near-field zone. An approximation with local expansion centers based on meshing facets is proposed to represent the spherical wave incidence instead of the traditional uniform plane wave, and an associated integral formulation is employed to refine the higher-order formations of scattering in near-field zone. Some analyses on near-field scattering and Doppler frequency-shift effect of target are investigated to describe the more complicated scattering characteristics and phenomenons compared with the common far-field problems.
