Agroecology has been a productive alternative for family agriculture. However there are several factors that influence family members to adopt this practice or not producers, and also keep the same or not. This article aims to discuss the contribution of culture to agroecology, ie, how the cultural aspects influencing producers to join or not join, maintain or not maintain their properties in agroecological farming.
