Method and apparatus for patterning surfaces by machining with energy radiation

The invention relates to a method for patterning of surfaces by machining with energy radiation, wherein a first beam (10) energy radiation during a machining operation for a predetermined period of time is directed onto the surface to be machined and the first beam (10) chosen processing parameters in question so are that the first beam (10) produces a weld pool (28) in the surface to be processed, wherein at least a second bundle (12) energy radiation of the first package (10) is at least superimposed at predetermined time intervals so that it at least partially within the expansion of the molten bath (28) impinges on the surface to be machined and at least a second radiation beam (12) processing parameters in question are chosen so that the molten bath (28) is deformed for patterning the surface to be machined. Furthermore, the invention relates to a device for performing the method.
