Experimental Study of Air-filled Floating Flap Valve for Low Head Pump Stations

This paper presents a new-type air-filled floating flap valve on the basis of improving the integral-type floating flap valve for low head pump stations.This flap valve absorbs the merits of the integral-type floating flap valve.The change of aerocyst volume and adding aerocyst and the counterweight are adopted to arbitrarily adjust the valve opening angle in certain scope.Five kinds of different proportion model valve comparative tests verify that the flap valve is safe practical.
