Research on extraction method of image feature for wood surface defects

In view of the main characteristics of wood surface defects,this paper stated the emphasis on the value of defects contour feature,average gray value and the gray variance value,meanwhile,the extraction method of signal feature for wood surface defects was presented,which could improve extraction accuracy for wood surface defects feature. Therefore,it provided the technical support for nondestructive,fast and accurate testing in wood surface defects detecting technique.
