Elementary psychotherapy for women prepared for radical mastectomy in the nursing practice

The term “elementary psychotherapy” signi-fies a therapeutic approach to the patient, establishing proper atmos-phere and the patient’s sense of security as well as the nurse’s empa-thy. Moreover, psychotherapy is non-verbal communication in which no words are used. It consists in facial expressions, gestures, touch and looks all giving the account of one’s feelings.
