The invention relates to a laser velocimeter parallelism accuracy measuring apparatus and a measuring method thereof. The apparatus comprises a load-bearing platform, a mobile platform, a laser rangefinder, a data collection card, a processor, and a displayer. At least two laser velocimeters are installed in parallel on the load-bearing platform. The mobile platform is positioned under the load-bearing platform, and is installed on a pedestal through a horizontal slide mechanism. The laser rangefinder is installed at a side outside the mobile platform. The data collection card connects with a plurality of laser velocimeters, the laser rangefinder and the processor. A calculation result of the processor is outputted to the displayer. According to the method, a parallelism verification principle of high precision laser velocity measurement is utilized to calculate difference of angle values between the laser velocimeters, and measuring precision of angle difference is 0.005 degree. The apparatus has the characteristics of simple structure, an easy-to-understand principle and high measuring precision. The apparatus can be used without professional operation personnel and is worth popularization.
